The Vermont State Housing Authority Takes On The Corporate Cup Challenge

Sixteen VSHA employees took to the streets of Montpelier | June 17, 2015

On the evening of Thursday, May 14, sixteen employees of the Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) took to the streets of Montpelier for the 32nd Annual Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race.

The Vermont Corporate Cup Challenge and State Agency Race is a 5K team running/walking event. The race is open to businesses, government and non-profit organizations in Vermont. The proceeds from this race benefit the programs and events of the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Employees of the Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) have participated in the team challenge since 2007. Several of the VSHA teams have won awards.

In 2014 and 2015, these races were especially meaningful to VSHA employees participating in the race as they did so to honor employees fighting the battle with cancer. This year, 15 employees crossed the finish line together to show that no one fights cancer alone.
