Andy Trachsel is a Financial Advisor with Retirement Plan Advisors, a member of the firm’s Investment Advisory Committee, and responsible for RPA’s St. Louis Regional Office. As of June 2018, the St. Louis office serves 37 plan sponsors, 57 group retirement plans, and more than 5,000 public sector employees, with combined invested assets totaling $350 million.
Andy started in the financial industry in 1992, working as an investment advisor for a large investment broker. He later moved into the home office as a municipal bond trader. In these roles, Andy gained a broad base of investment advisory experience. His career in public sector retirement planning started a few years later, when he moved to a small subsidiary of a large national insurance company, providing participant services for one of the company’s largest clients.
Andy joined Retirement Plan Advisors in 2005, in order to serve and continue building an expanding client base.
Andy is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and financial advisor with more than 25 years of experience. He brings extensive knowledge in multiple areas of finance, including investment selection, portfolio construction, risk mitigation, and tax and financial planning. Andy assists governmental employers with retirement plan design, implementation, and administration. He has helped countless individuals create, execute, and maintain financial plans for retirement.
Andy earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Missouri and a Master’s Degree in Finance from St. Louis University. In addition to his CPA designation, Andy holds Series 7 and 66 FINRA registrations and is licensed for life, accident and health, and variable insurance.
