Jim Ladlie is a Financial Advisor with Retirement Plan Advisors and responsible for the firm’s St. Louis Regional Office. As of June 2018, The St. Louis office serves 37 plan sponsors, 57 group retirement plans, and more than 5,000 public sector employees, with combined invested assets totaling $350 million.
Jim started in the financial industry in 1992, working as an investment advisor for a large investment broker. In this role, he gained a broad base of investment advisory experience. Jim’s career in public sector retirement planning started a few years later, when he moved to a small subsidiary of a large national insurance company, providing participant services for public sector retirement plans. He held a number of roles over the course of his tenure, including Managing Director, in which he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of retirement plans of various sizes.
Jim joined Retirement Plan Advisors in 2000, the year the firm was founded, to serve and build the St. Louis Metro and Missouri client base. For more than 20 years, Jim has assisted governmental employers with retirement plan design, implementation, and administration. He has helped countless public sector employees plan for and maintain a successful retirement.
Jim is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Personal Finance. He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 FINRA registrations and is licensed for life, accident and health, and variable insurance.
